Spain between weddings : in Granada, Andalusia

The Alhambra, begun in 900 A.D. Still as impressive as my last visits 10 years ago! Nisrid Palace, built 14th C by the Moors. The architecture and detail take your breath away.
Fountains and flowers abound.
The ceilings are also impressive.
A smooth staircase of the Palace of Charles V, built within the red walls of the Alhambra fortress in the 16th C. after the Catholic monarchs took power.
All photos courtesy of Edouardo, an English- and French-speaking Spanish neophyte who could be spotted all week at every beautiful vista across Andalusia, camera in hand.
