Hike into Gorbio village

Statues made of rusted bomb shells -- now symbols of peace on the mountaintop.
"Combats of Man and splintered bomb shells, be now only the Madonna of peace."
A few donkeys watched us pass...
First sight of Gorbio, medieval village perched on a peak.
Around this Orme tree, planted in 1713, is the main plaza, where we ate a rudiculously delicious tiny cheese raviolis with wild boar (sanglier) "daube"... hunted down from the over-population of wild boars in the region (we saw their diggings everywhere). As for impending wild boar encounters, we hoped the swiss army knife would "cut it".
Gorbio village - absolutely beautiful, with view over seaside Menton and Roquebrune.
A couple of curious horses on the way back...
